Bruce
I attended Goldey Beacom College in 1970, and then finished my last two years at Wilmington College receiving a B.A. in Accounting. I started working in public accounting in 1975 while yet a senior at college doing tax returns for a small firm in Delaware. In 1978, I received my certified public accounting status in Delaware, and then later added Pennsylvania. In 1983, I started a practice which has grown into the firm Baer and Company of today.
The type of work our firm performs for our clients is quite varied, but my 30 something years in this line of work has my time dedicated to the more complex matters of our practice. However, that does not mean that I don’t work with, or forgot about the folks that were there in the beginning. All clients matter regardless of size or complexity.
During my career, I have always tried to abide by my basic philosophy of work . . .To do the best job I could in the most comprehensive manner. Above all, I believe that friendly and open communication between a client and their professional will always result in the most fruitful of relationships. Therefore, while email is becoming more commonplace, I certainly will welcome a friendly in person or telephone chat anytime!

Debbie
I am a graduate of Immaculata College, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. I received my certified public accountant status in 1993. My 15 years in public accounting have been spent working for and with Bruce Baer, and in 2003 I became a partner.
Most of my time is devoted to individual taxation, however I also prepare corporate and partnership returns. In recent years I have also helped clients setup and maintain their QuickBooks accounting and payroll records.
I enjoy working in public accounting and especially like getting to know my clients on a personal as well as professional level. It is very rewarding to be able to help alleviate some of the frustration and confusion surrounding taxation and accounting issues.
I live in Elverson, PA with my husband and 2 sons. I am treasurer for my youngest son’s Cub Scout pack, and have recently “retired” after 12 years of service as treasurer for our church.

As a native of the area, I graduated from Conestoga Christian School and then went on to Alvernia College , where I graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Accounting. I became a certified public accountant in 2002.
I basically began my career here ten years ago. I feel fortunate to have been “groomed” by the very best. My primary areas of focus are individual taxation, corporate taxation and financial statement preparation.
I believe my greatest reward in working with my clients is knowing that I have helped to alleviate some of their anxieties about their tax issues. I very much enjoy the relationships that I have formed. I also enjoy the diversity of the work, as I seem to do something different each day. I look forward to working with you.

Barbara
I bring 19 years of diverse clerical, administrative and customer support from various sectors of the financial industry, including insurance, securities, banking and accounting services.
I have completed various specialized training and certificate programs including, H & R Block Tax Course, licensing for life insurance and variable products such as mutual funds and continuing education for tax law changes. My main focus is individual tax preparation, small businesses and bookkeeping.
Enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, my focus is to provide support to our team of tax professionals as well as building a working relationship with new and existing clients by providing them with personalized service for their particular needs.
Currently living in the Reading area, my husband and I enjoy our grandchildren, the beach, kayaking and biking.

I have lived in the Elverson/Morgantown area my entire life. I am a graduate of Owen J Roberts High School and also have an associate's degree from Penn State University .
The main focus of my career has always been customer service and office administration. My primary duties are receptionist, processing tax returns, filing and payroll. I joined the firm in March of 2009 and look forward to a long and rewarding career in customer and administrative support, as well as furthering my knowledge of the accounting industry.
I currently live in Morgantown with my husband and 2 daughters. Our interests include music, cooking and cruising around town in our 1941 Studebaker truck.
